I am glad to certify with gratitude to the understanding of God, His Christ, and the Bible, which I have gained through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I am grateful to our beloved Leader for her ceaseless labor for mankind, and for the courage which could present this truth to the world. I had an impediment, an affliction,—so-called stammering,—which was said to be hereditary. I had tried the best of physicians and material remedies; also several operations, spending between nine and ten hundred dollars for so-called cures; but all were ineffectual. I suffered from this trouble for thirty years. I could not sleep nights; and it was no pleasure to my friends to listen to my attempts to talk. At last Christian Science came to my relief. I am now thoroughly cured, and have been for the past three years. I feel like an entirely different person. My mind is clear; I sleep well, and have none but the best feelings toward humanity in general. I wish especially to express my gratitude for the sense of brotherhood in the Christian Science churches, for the great and lasting work which they have done in the past and are striving to do at the present time.
