Have you ever seen the good in some one, and his ability while he has was obscure, and prophesied the high place he would take; and then, when this was realized, and he had risen above you in your own sphere, were you still able to praise him? This is a test of character, and here it was that John proved his nobility. "Did I not tell you he was greater than I? And is he not great—greater than I thought?"
