It is with deep thankfulness to God and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for the teaching which has given us anew the word of Truth whereby we may be healed, that I seek to tell what Christian Science has done for me. To those who are still in doubt as to its efficacy and its divine healing Principle, I wish more than all to give a word of cheer.

In the summer of 1908 I was stricken with peritonitis in its most severe form. I was treated by materia medica and another material method, but with no results. I then succumbed to a relapse and my case was given up by my doctors, who had done all they could for me. Christian Science was then brought to my notice, but I had very little faith in it and it was with much reluctance that I consented to try it; but after my first treatment, which was given absently, I noticed a marked improvement, and in three months' time I was completely healed.

A remarkable demonstration was made in the case of my eyes, which were healed in a very few treatments. I could endure hardly any light on my eyes and was compelled to wear glasses to protect them, but I have discarded the use of glasses entirely. I was also healed of an aggravated abscess in my side, and although the healing was not so rapid, I obtained a much greater uplift morally and spiritually as well as physically, for which I am very grateful.
