As the glorious dawn of morning light...

As the glorious dawn of morning light
Brings forth the foreground into sight,
Revealing form and beauty rare
Of mountain, forest, flowers fair,
As guardian with protecting grace
Of tiniest nook or largest place;
So doth the glory of our Lord
Bring to our inner sight the Word
Made flesh, its truth and fullest grace,
Its depths of wisdom, sweetest face;
Of perfect Love, no great, no small,—
Our rereward, guardian, All-in-all.
