We acknowledge with a grateful heart the good which has come to us through Christian Science. Some seven years ago I met with an accident and sustained a severe wound on the head. It healed, but from that time on I was subject to headaches and attacks of dizziness, besides having a feeling of cold in my head, so that summer and winter I could not be even indoors without some sort of a covering for the head, and the least noise seemed disagreeable and disturbing. (I might mention that I can now bear any kind of noise, and even the trains running over bridges under which I have to pass frequently do not disturb me.) In spite of all the physicians' efforts, they were unable to relieve me; but some two years ago I heard of Christian Science, and copies of the Herold were handed to me and I attended the meetings and services. The wonderful testimonies of healing which I heard every week made me feel that I, too, would recover my health some time. I diligently read the Herold and then applied to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, which was lovingly taken up, with the result that with six treatments my troubles disappeared. I feel well now, and rejoice in my deliverance from the terrible pain.

My wife, too, has been healed through Christian Science of two severe diseases. She had suffered for thirty years with her head and spasms in the stomach. Although we consulted many physicians during these years, she never was more than relieved, not healed. With a few treatments in Christian Science, however, she was restored to perfect health. We are both striving earnestly to prove our sincere gratitude through right doing, through increasing love of God, and the constant endeavor to understand more of the truth. We thank God for having freed us of these severe troubles, and we are grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for having made us know the truth, and for pointing out the way of understanding whereby we may become better men and women.
