The testimonies given in the Sentinel are so encouraging and helpful to me that I wish to give mine, hoping that some one may be glad to know how quickly and perfectly God answers the prayer of understanding. In August, 1907, while doing some very heavy and unusual work, I experienced an abdominal injury. I lay in bed with great pain from Friday until Monday, and then consented to my wife's calling a Christian Science practitioner, feeling that we could not meet the trouble ourselves. She also telephoned for a doctor to make an examination for accident insurance. The doctor came first, and seemed much disturbed at the symptoms, saying the temperature was alarming. When he left he said he could not do any more for me, but to get the practitioner as soon as possible and to tell him that he (the doctor) said that I should stay in bed till that fever went down and the pain was gone. I was unable to lie still on account of the pain, neither could I sit up.

The Scientist came shortly, and after about thirty minutes I was lying perfectly quiet, without pain, and the fever almost gone. With one week's treatment I was entirely well, and have never felt the slightest return of the trouble. My gratitude is great, and I am humbly thankful for Christian Science and its Discoverer.
