It is over three years since I came to understand anything of Christian Science, and in that time I have had many demonstrations, both for myself and family, two of which I wish to speak about particularly. One was an acute case of rheumatism in the knee-joint, which was badly swollen and very painful. As I was obliged to take a forty-mile ride over very rough roads, I applied to a practitioner for treatment. The next day I was able to walk, and the third day I stopped treatment, as I was well.

In the spring of 1909 my seven-year-old son was thrown from a wagon to the hard pavement, receiving very severe injuries. He had hemorrhages accompanied with a high fever, pains in the head, and was delirious. A Christian Science practitioner was immediately called, and the injury to the stomach was overcome in twenty-four hours. At the end of three days he was able to be up. This was on a Thursday, and the following Monday he was back in school, well!

Christian Science has done much for me in overcoming fear for myself and children. I am very thankful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for the benefits received through the teaching of Christian Science.
