It is with a grateful heart that I write to tell of the benefits I have received from Christian Science. I was attacked with a very severe illness, having all the symptoms of acute lung trouble, a disease which had almost terminated fatally for me two years previously. Owing to this, much fear was manifested, and my faith in Truth was put to the test. The next day I was semiconscious, but with the help of a practitioner I was enabled to rise, as well as ever, two days later. Sundry other ailments have been overcome by realizing man's God-given dominion over error. Not only has Christian Science helped me from a physical point of view, but it has been a wonderful help in every-day life. Work which before seemed distasteful and was done in a slovenly way, is now done with the thought of perfection uppermost.
Lastly, Christian Science has given me a better knowledge of my fellow-man. Like most young men, I was always rather prone to judge people from outward appearances, but now I know that each one of us belongs to a brotherhood where all is harmony and peace, and where all have one Father, who is guiding and directing each true thought, word, and deed. I am very grateful to the allwise God, to Mrs. Eddy, the Founder of Christian Science, and to all who by word and deed have helped me so far along the narrow way.
D. H. Coomber, Sunderland, England.
