AMONG THE CHURCHES

A chapel is soon to be built in this city by the members of the local Christian Science church. Its cost will be about thirty-five hundred dollars and it will be located on the lot owned by the church on North Oakdale avenue. The building committee of the Scientists held a meeting last evening [July 27] to consider plans, and satisfactory progress was reported.

Rapid growth has been experienced here. The meetings were held first in the commercial club rooms, which, owing to the large attendance, grew too small. The present meeting-place is in Smith's Hall on North Grape street, which is well filled at the stated meetings.—Medford Sun.
