It is clear to me that Christian Science reveals the truth...

It is clear to me that Christian Science reveals the truth about God and man's relationship to Him, and that this truth heals. This conviction was established in July, 1903, and since that time it has only become more deeply rooted. At that time I was suffering from an injury to the knee, sustained in a football game, when attending college. I consulted several physicians, and they all pronounced the trouble a very serious injury. They furnished bandages and elastic supports, which were used without satisfactory results, for notwithstanding these the knee would slip out in such a manner as to prevent the joint being straightened, and there was great pain and inconvenience. At last I consulted a specialist in surgery, who advised that only an operation could effect a cure, and that I would be confined to the hospital for a month at least, so that the outlook was far from bright.

Just then I was urged to try Christian Science, of which I knew nothing. I did so, and the second night after treatment was commenced I removed the bandage on retiring. The next morning I found that I could walk perfectly without it—the healing was complete. I thus learned that the truth is equal to every human need, even when a surgical operation seems necessary. I immediately purchased a copy of Science and Health, and since then I have had many proofs that a realization of the allness of God causes sin and sickness to vanish. I am indeed grateful for Christian Science, and to our dear Leader, who has reflected and continues to reflect so much of the divine intelligence, directing our footsteps in the way that leads from material sense to Soul.
