GOD'S WILL BE DONE
There
was a time when on life's way
Intense petitions from my heart of hearts arose
That God should give me this or that today—
My heart's desire I craved ere daylight closed.
But now I've learned, gleaned from the weary years,
God's will is wise and always done,
Regardless of the human fret and tears,
And that His will is best for us, each one.
So now I only wait for Him to show the way,
And follow close in love to His dear call.
'Tis thus the sunshine glorifies each day,
And thus I know God's will is All-in-all.
