CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

Truth's footprints mark the epochs of the years.
Where is the past, the panoply of pride,
The pomp of power? All, all are scattered wide,
And calm above their dust its light appears—
The primal hope humanity reveres.
Its might above the wastes of time and tide
Doth stand, and in man's heart there doth abide
A faith above the wisdom of the seers.

'Neath Truth's uplifted hand all wrong shall cease,
Oppression's might before its vision die.
And hate shall fade, and faith shall give to peace
The steadfast glow that gilds the future's sky.
The light of hope above our path shall shine,
And Love shall reign, omnipotent, divine.
