Some five years ago a friend told us about Christian Science. My wife, who had been suffering for many years with a skin disease on her face, was healed of this trouble, as well as of a disease of the bone, within a short time, through Christian Science. At the birth of one of our children also she had Christian Science treatment, which proved a great help to her. Our daughter was healed of a disease of the bone; and two of our children who were taken with a fever, were healed within a few days. Two of our younger children were taken with whooping-cough, but were healed in a short time. Later my wife had an attack of illness, also a toothache at the same time, so that her face was badly swollen, but these troubles too disappeared through Christian Science treatment. Our youngest child had a serious condition in his right leg, but was healed in a short time. Our son was bitten by a dog, and the flesh badly torn, but he was healed through the reading of Science and Health in two weeks' time. I have myself been freed from the desire for alcoholic drinks through reading this book.
