Over four decades ago an American woman, by the discernment of the spiritual law, as clearly defined to her as was the law of the falling apple to Newton, resurrected from the grave of human belief the scientific law of the Christ-healing. She unveiled the spiritual sense of the Scriptures and made plain to human understanding the eternal Christ that had never departed. Glorious indeed will be the march of mind when Christian Science is investigated and its spiritual Principle and power understood. Then will the deaf hear, the blind see, and the lame walk. Then will science, theology, and medicine be reconciled, and then will the infidelity of professing Christians to Christ's teachings, promises, and commands, be done away. This American woman, Mary Baker Eddy, in her book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 98), tersely states what the assembled investigators are striving to attain: "Beyond the frail premises of human beliefs, above the loosening grasp of creeds, the demonstration of Christian Mind-healing stands a revealed and practical Science. It is imperious throughout all ages as Christ's revelation of Truth, of Life, and of Love, which remains inviolate for every man to understand and to practise."
