Our critic says, "I cannot believe the method of Christian Scientists and that of Jesus the same." That is true quite generally among the critics of Christian Science, and quite naturally they do not have a demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science and consequently cannot know what the healing process involves. But certainly the Christian Scientists—at least those who are able to practise Christian Science successfully—do know what the modus operandi is; they do know that suggestion, hypnotism, etc. is wholly eliminated from the metaphysical operation, and an inexperienced person can hardly advise them intelligently as to what they actually do or do not do.
