God means more to Christian Scientists than to other denominations; so also does Jesus and every event of his career and every word of his teaching. Thousands upon thousands of earnest men and women who were honored members in the older churches are bearing insistent testimony to these facts. Most of these have been won over from a state of opposition quite as intense as that of our friend, and they now have the advantage of having examined the subject from both sides and are therefore more competent to judge.
