About four years ago, while coasting with children at school, my little son was thrown from a sled and injured more seriously than we realized at the time. As he continued to suffer, a doctor was called, who, after an examination, pronounced the case one of rupture and said he would always have to wear a truss and would be a sufferer for life. Soon after the injury severe nervous attacks began to develop, for which medicine brought no relief. The boy was placed under the care of a doctor in another city, but as he continued to grow worse we brought him home again.

At this time we knew very little of Christian Science, but after a family consultation we decided to give it a trial, and a practitioner was telephoned for. In half an hour after her arrival the child fell into the only peaceful sleep he had had for six months. When he awoke he called for something to eat—the first meal in a week. The next morning he was up and dressed, and remained up most of the day. In one week the truss was left off, and in two weeks he was entirely healed of the rupture. The nervous trouble gradually yielded, and in a few weeks he was as well as a child can be, and has remained so for over a year.

The condition of our child was so well known that his perfect healing has caused many who were opposed to Christian Science to think more favorably of it. I am slowly gaining in the understanding of how divine Truth heals, and I am more grateful than I can express for the good that Christian Science has done for me and my family.—Mrs. C. R.
