On March 4, 1908, our baby, two years old, was very sick with croup and a severe cold on his lungs. Not being able to get a doctor, as we had always done before, I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner, who said he would do all he could for the baby, and he certainly did wonderfully. We have had many experiences with such ailments, but never before has one been broken up so quickly. It was about noon when I called the practitioner, and by evening the baby was playing as if he never had been sick at all. The attack was completely broken, and the fever all gone. I was more thankful than I ever could tell, for I had great fear of these attacks. Jesus said, "Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Why should they be forbidden, in the case of illness, the protecting care of divine Love.
