In November, 1908, I had a severe trouble in the ear, to which I paid little attention at first. My condition grew much worse within a few days, however, and as I suffered severe pain, I had to apply to a physician, who stated that the disease was in an advanced stage. I remained under treatment for several weeks without improving. There was a profuse discharge from the ear, and the pain did not grow less, while I was losing strength all the time. My attention was then called to Christian Science. I asked for treatment, and within a few days the pain disappeared. The sense of hearing, which I had completely lost, was restored and my strength returned, so that I was able to resume my work even before the disease itself was overcome. In three weeks' time I was absolutely well, for which I am deeply grateful. I thank God for Christian Science.
