I consider it a great privilege to be afforded an opportunity...
I consider it a great privilege to be afforded an opportunity to tell my experience, and to express gratitude for Christian Science. My family and I have been interested in this always practical and operative religion over eight years, during which time Christian Science has destroyed every manifestation of discord that has presented itself in our household. We became interested through the healing of a very dear friend, who suffered intensely from a malignant growth. She had been operated upon twice for the disease, and was in dread of a third operation. She was perfectly healed in three months, and is now a Christian Science practitioner in Los Angeles.
When I decided to try Christian Science, the first move that I made was to throw away a surgical appliance that I had worn for years, as I was suffering from a trouble for which I had been operated upon, and was expecting to undergo another operation for the same trouble. I also threw away a large supply of medicine, and am thankful to say that I have never needed any material remedy since. I took the "scientific statement of being," as given on page 468 of our grand text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and earnestly strove to realize the infinite completeness of those wonderful statements, and with the assistance of a most patient practitioner, I was completely healed, and have remained so.
My wife has been healed of many ailments, recently having sent in her expression of gratitude to the Sentinelfor the many blessing she had received. Six years ago, our son, who was then eight years old, was perfectly healed in forty-eight hours of a fully developed case of fever, experiencing no after effects whatever.
