THE LECTURES

A lecture was given by William D. McCrackan, M.A., of Boston, in the church edifice of Third Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago, Nov. 26 and Nov. 27, before large and appreciative audiences. Nov. 26 the lecturer was introduced by Fred A. Bangs, who said in part,—

Knowing the power of Love to heal and to cleanse from sin and all iniquity, Christian Scientists, in obedience to Christ's injunction, "As ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise," and his command, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself," endeavor in all legitimate ways to give unto their fellow-men the opportunity of receiving this immortal truth, though they proselyte not. In this spirit of love and obedience this lecture is given, understanding that God, good, is omnipotent and overcomes evil in all its seemingly varied manifestations.
