THE ATMOSPHERE OF LOVE
We need no other proof that we are not consciously dwelling in the realm of Mind than the feeling that we are disturbed by some phase of error. The two atmospheres, that of mortal mind and that of Love, are distinct: one is the realm of dreams and illusions; the other, the realm of realities.
As Scientists we know that nothing exists but God and His idea; we know that Life is forever and unchangeably harmonious. Then it follows that if we have much to meet, if our harmony is frequently disturbed, we have voluntarily gone where there are material beliefs, and if we are "hit," it is because we have placed ourselves, unprotected, within range of the enemy's fire. We know absolutely that sense testimony to the reality of evil is false; from its inception we know it has no foundation in Truth; then, why not say with Paul, "I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
If we abide in this atmosphere of Love, then truly are we dwelling "in the secret place of the most High," where the shafts of malice, envy, anger, and hatred cannot enter—they but strike at an invincible defense.
