About two years ago I was shown the power of Truth to heal, as taught in Christian Science. I had been suffering for several days with a severe cold, which did not yield to any of the usual remedies, but became worse from day to day, until I was compelled to leave my work. After being at home for two days, my wife and I decided I should try Christian Science, as we were occupying rooms in the home of a Christian Science practitioner. She was called in that evening, and the next morning I was so much improved that I was able to go back to my work, although the treatment was continued for several days. At the end of this time I was entirely cured of the cold, also of a chronic bowel disorder for which I had taken medicine regularly for over ten years.

The fact of my being entirely healed in less than one week, impelled us to investigate this grand truth, and Christian Science has been a blessing to us in many ways since that time. For this I am truly thankful, and hope to prove my gratitude to God, and to the Leader of Christian Science, by faithful and daily work.
