[Written for the Sentinel.]

MY COMMUNION

In silence deep there comes to me
A sweet assurance of God's care;
Life, Truth, and Love encompass me,
I know that He is everywhere.

God's sheltering arms are ever near,
His wondrous light is never dim;
Safe in His love, I know no fear,
Because I am at-one with Him.

With thought attuned to hear and know
The still small voice that maketh free;
The hidden manna's spread, and lo,
I sup with Him and He with me!

In this communion Love hath laid
Its healing touch upon my soul;
In conscious oneness Christ hath made
My sense in Truth divinely whole.
