On May 30, 1907, while driving a spirited horse, I was...

On May 30, 1907, while driving a spirited horse, I was caught between two trolley-cars. The wagon was overturned and I was thrown out and dragged sixty feet, sustaining severe injuries. I was confused and dazed for a time and medical assistance was offered, but I knew that all I needed was help in Christian Science. Word was sent to a practitioner, but she was out and did not reach me till nearly midnight, when she began the work at once and I fell asleep directly. I was up next morning at the usual time, and went to my place of business. Every one who saw me exclaimed about my alarming appearance, so the practitioner advised me to remain with her for the day. which I did. In four days' time every trace of the injury had disappeared, and my barber marveled at the rapid healing.

Another time I was taken with a very acute attack of illness. I was in agony, and finally the practitioner was called. In about an hour I was asleep, and did not awake till seven next morning. My illness seemed like a dream, and no weakness followed. I went to my place of business as usual this time. Again, an attack of illness was met and destroyed in two hours, the fever and other symptoms disappearing at once. I send this testimony in appreciation of the faithful work done for me.
