Christian Science means very much to me
Christian Science means very much to me. When I first heard of this glorious truth, through an uncle who had been wonderfully benefited, I was suffering from what specialists diagnosed as a very serious affection of one lung. After prescribing various remedies, without the slightest improvement, they advised me, as a last resort, to go to the mountains. I followed this advice, but became worse. Previous to this my physicians had particularly stipulated that I should not go to the seashore, where I usually spent my summers, as they said the atmosphere was too damp.
At this time, now over seventeen years ago, I heard of Christian Science and was treated by a practitioner, and since then I have not taken any medicine. I have spent much time at the seashore during this interval, without any bad results, and have been healed of liver spots on my hands, and numerous other disorders. I am very thankful to God for this, and for the protection and supply which I have had by knowing God, good, as the only power. Also for the help received by those dear to me, who have been greatly benefited.
I am especially thankful for the spiritual uplifting, and very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her faithful, untiring zeal, whereby she has given to the world Christian Science.
