A healing religion based on a fixed Principle is scientific, and the working out and application of such Principle a Science, and as such it must be studied and thoroughly understood before it can be demonstrated to any extent; therefore the term Christian Science is not a misnomer.

Some time the all-in-all of spirituality will be manifested, but Christian Scientists do not claim that this will occur before all material conceptions have been overcome. The mortal mind could not be spirit; if it became spiritual it would be mortal no longer, but immortal, and would have no material concepts. Christian Science teaches that the working out of our own salvation, the regeneration of our thoughts, the reflection and expression of divine Mind, is necessary before immortality and absolute spirituality are attainable.
