Bridgeport (Conn.) Herald

The suggestion conveyed is that Christian Scientists are unsympathetic with those who suffer, and that they are fanatical and dogmatic in preaching the doctrine of Christian Science to others, and arbitrary in insisting upon its practice by those around them. Now nothing could be farther from the facts. The Christian Scientist is glad he is a Christian Scientist, and is always generous in meeting calls for assistance, but beyond a friendly word of recommendation he does not intrude his views upon others, even upon members of his own household, because he is trying to make practical the Golden Rule; and inasmuch as he insists upon his own individual right to think as he pleases, he consistently endeavors to accord the same right to his relatives and friends.
