San Francisco (Cal.) Bulletin

Christian Science is founded on the understanding of Truth, and teaches strict adherence to the spirit of the Mosaic Decalogue and to the teachings of Jesus. These teachings are held by all Christians to promote safety and progress in society. How, then, can Christian Science be correctly characterized as "one of the greatest menaces of modern times"? If Christian Scientists are not always successful in realizing God's presence and protection so clearly as to heal disease, should they be censured more than should other Christians who pray to God and at the same time employ materia medica and yet are frequently known to fail in spite of both these attempts? As a matter of fact, whenever actual statistics have been brought forward, it has been found that the Christian Scientists were more successful in healing than were the various schools employing material remedies.

And nature loves her fellow-men
With all the witchery of spring,
How can you hate a fellow then?
