I take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the benefits received in Christian Science. I am especially grateful for a healing which took place about a year ago, from what seemed to be a severe attack of poisoning. One day, soon after lunch, I was suddenly taken with severe pains, nausea, and dizziness, and reached home in a state of total collapse. Those who saw me told me afterward that my appearance was most alarming. A Christian Science practitioner was called in, and sat by my bedside for two hours. I was relieved almost immediately, and felt much better when she left. I fell asleep, and after resting for some time I awoke with terrible cramps in my limbs. My wife telephoned to the practitioner, and after a short while I was relieved and rested comfortably all night. In the morning I ate a hearty breakfast. The practitioner soon rang up, and asked me to call at her office. At first this surprised me, as I did not think I would be able to leave the house that day, but I soon recognized her wisdom in making the request, and went to see her. Although I felt well, there was a slight sense of weakness as I walked, but after receiving treatment I felt strong and was able to resume my work in the afternoon.

I am very thankful to God for this wonderful demonstration, as I was practically snatched from the jaws of death. Christian Science has surely proven to me many times that God is a very present help in time of trouble. I am also very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for having made plain to us this truth which makes free, and which has so many times proven a blessing to me and mine.
