LETTERS TO OUR LEADER

Chelsea, London, S. W., England, Feb. 20, 1909. Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy.

Beloved Leader:—May I take a moment of your time to say how very grateful I feel for the privilege that has been given me of serving the Cause in my new office as committee on publication for the counties in which London is situated. I know that only in so far as we are willing to "cherish nothing which hinders our highest self-hood" (Science and Health, p. 68) can we become worthy laborers for the Cause to which we owe so much, and only by doing more express the greatitude we feel to you, the Leader of the movement. My earnest prayer is that I may daily learn more love and wisdom, and so be able to give to others something of the blessings I have received from the study of the Scriptures in the light of your writings.

I would like to take this opportunity of telling you how much The Christian Science Monitor is appreciated here, and I fully realize that by giving it a wide circulation we are doing good that cannot at present be estimated, because through it such a vast number of men and women are being led to experience the regenerating and healing power of Christ, Truth, which you have again revealed to the world through Christian Science.
