AMONG THE CHURCHES

First Church of Christ, Scientist, now holding services in Woodmen Hall, owns an exceedingly valuable site at the southwest corner of Central avenue and Walnut street, and it is reported is planning to build in the near future. The plans call for an elaborate structure, which will be one of the finest churches in Alameda.—Times-Star.

Even the learned doctors are looking into our Science. The Sunday services are well attended, the numbers having almost doubled in the last three months. Our publications are much appreciated.—Correspondence.
