I can no longer refrain from expressing in some measure, through our periodicals, my gratitude to God, and to our dear Leader, for what Christian Science has done for me. From childhood I had suffered from spinal disease, and later from dropsical and other troubles. About a year ago I became interested in Christian Science, and after three months' treatment these all disappeared, and I am now entirely well. Christian Science has proved to be an ever-present help, not only in overcoming physical ailments, but in my daily life. It has also overcome a great sense of fear. The apostle John says, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: ... He that feareth is not made perfect in love." Mrs. Eddy says concerning this text, "Here is a definite and inspired proclamation of Christian Science" (Science and Health, p. 410). All this has come to pass in one short year, and my earnest desire is to be more and more worthy to be called a child of God.
