I wish to add my testimony to the many given in the Sentinel and Journal, and tell something of what Christian Science has done and is doing for me. For eleven years I suffered from what the physicians called neuralgic trouble of the stomach. I was treated by seven different physicians and tried many kinds of remedies, but received no permanent benefit. The last physician we called said I had gall-stones, and that he could do nothing but give me morphine to ease the pain. As soon, however, as the effect of the drug was gone gone the pain returned. I had to stay in bed, and everything I ate seemed to cause intense suffering.

It was in this hour of darkness and discouragement that I told my husband I wanted to try Christian Science, of which I had heard through a kind neighbor, some time before, but had never read anything on the subject. My husband went to see a practitioner and asked for treatment for me, with the result that I arose that same day and began to work, and to eat anything I wanted. This healing occurred over nine years ago, and I have had perfect health ever since. With this healing came a wonderful mental uplift. It seemed as if I had been brought out of darkness into a glorious light. The practitioner sent me some Christian Science literature, which I read and reread, while I drank in its spiritual meaning. A few days after my first treatment I drove ten miles alone to see the practitioner, and she explained to me about God and His power and willingness to heal and protect His children, and many other beautiful things that I had never heard before, and for which I shall ever be grateful.

Later I bought Mrs. Eddy's book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and through the understanding gained from that wonderful book many ills have been met and destroyed. We have used no material remedies of any kind since my healing, nine years ago, in a family of seven. God has been our only physician! Words can never tell how much we have to be thankful for. A serious case of blood-poisoning was overcome through the power of God's Word, understood spiritually, in a few hours; besides many other ailments too numerous to mention. These all vanished before the power of God, good. The children almost always make their own demonstrations over the ills that come to them, with their knowledge of this truth.
