When Christian Science was presented to me, about...

When Christian Science was presented to me, about eighteen years ago, I had been an invalid for several years, and was then unable to walk across the room or even to be up. One physician had pronounced my trouble a catarrhal condition of the stomach. Several others did not know. My healing in Christian Science was instantaneous. After reading the 91st Psalm I arose and dressed myself and felt that I was well. My thought was, "Praise God, from whom all blessings flow," and I am very grateful for all the benefits received from Christian Science. It was my privilege to hear our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, speak at her home a few years ago, and these words from her have ever remained with me, "Trust in Truth, and have no other trusts" (Sentinel, July 4, 1903).

Mary B. Adams, Lima, O.

I've yet to learn what ill it brings
To see the brighter side of things,—
To hug the sunnier side of streets,
To taste, and thank God for, life's sweets,
To light a good deed's little candle,
To hold tight by the human handle,
To smile,—one may not understand
Whereat,—to lend a helping hand.

Harry Cowell.
