I want to let others know what Christian Science has done for me. I suffered from rheumatic trouble for sixteen years. For a time I was so bad that I could not walk without crutches, although I had been taking medicine all the time; but it did me no good—only relieved me a little. About two years ago, I was so ill that I could not walk. For three months I lay in bed and could not move. I had no one to help me, until a kind man gave me a Christian Science Sentinel. I read it, and found there was something in it, so I looked it over closely, to see if there was any hope for me. I wrote to Mrs. Eddy, not knowing anything else to do about it, and I get a letter from her secretary. He told me I should get a practitioner to help me, that I would find some one near me. I found there were several in Decatur, Ill. I wrote to one of them, and after waiting some time for a reply, I wrote to another. I was on the poor-farm at this time. I got a letter from the practitioner, who told me I could be made well, and from that time I began to get better. I began to put my trust in God, and now I am as well as I can be. I have no pain, and I am very thankful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for the healing I got through Christian Science. I trust that by the will of God and the power of God I shall stay well.—Jackson K.
