Mrs. Eddy recognizes that to the sense of mortals there is sin in the world, but she maintains in accordance with the Holy Scriptures that God is All and God is good; hence sin is not of God, is not spiritual, eternal, or real. The mission of Christian Science is to reform mankind by showing the sinner the way out of the bondage of ignorance and sin. It teaches, as did the Saviour, that sin brings its own punishment; but through suffering and Christ the sinner is reformed and saved. Christian Science so clearly and logically explains the divine teachings of the Bible that all may learn how to become more Christlike, to cast sin out of themselves and others, and to heal the sick. Christian Science is bringing about the banishment of evil, and for its good fruits it should be commended by all men.
