I am pleased to acknowledge through the pages of the Sentinel what Christian Science has done for me. I am seventy-two years old. I had suffered from bowel difficulties all my life, having had to take medicine continually for relief. I had also suffered intensely for the last twelve years with gall-stone, the doctors not being able to help me in any way, and they finally told me that I could never be relieved without undergoing a surgical operation, to which I could not consent. I had always trusted in God, that is, in a vague way. I often said that I felt things would work out all right, and so it has proven, even in this instance. How sure are His precious promises: "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass;" and "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

About a year ago my married daughter was beautifully healed through Christian Science, and wanted me to try it, so I bought a copy of the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and began to read it. In a very short time I was entirely healed of both of the above-mentioned troubles. I now feel perfectly well and so fresh and young. I have also begun in a small way to help others. My son has been relieved from suffering just from my reading the book to him. He is now interested in reading for himself, and we both enjoy the Sentinel very much. I cannot find language with which to express my heartfelt gratitude to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, through whom all these things have been made possible for me here and now. I trust that this testimony may enable others to come to the true source and find the fountain of life which flows so freely for all.
