I feel it a duty as well as a privilege to tell others what Christian Science has done for me. After a lingering illness of about five months, in September, 1898, my case was diagnosed by a physician as a severe form of rheumatism. At that time I was almost helpless in my lower limbs, but through Christian Science treatment I was enabled in five or six weeks to spend almost all day at my employer's place of business (he being a retail grocer) and to render some assistance in handling the books for him, but as I seemed to be slow in regaining strength and activity, it was about two months later before he felt that I could take up my regular work. On Dec. 16, 1898, was, however, permitted to resume my work, and from that day to the present time (over ten years) I have not lost a single day on account of illness, although about two or three years after the above-stated experience, I was spared by Christian Science from being brought down by severe nervous illness.
For these and many other blessings received through Christian Science, I wish to thank God, and also our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am very grateful to The Christian Science Publishing Society, and to each and every one of God's children who have labored so patiently to help me in time of trouble and who have enabled me to gain some understanding of this truth which makes free indeed.
John H. Price, Chattanooga, Tenn.
