Nothing so convicts the world of faith without understanding,...

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Post

Nothing so convicts the world of faith without understanding, of belief without demonstration, as its haunting fear of that which the really well-ordered, faithful, and righteous know is not at all to be feared. Those who can see no prospect of making bright or endurable a long gray vista of days and years, have always to live the next few hours and days to reach these unpromising times. And no one is ever so sadly off that he cannot improve these moments nearest to him, in thought at least, if not in material ways. And this is the rule for happiness and peace and hope.
