To me Christian Science is all there is,—I have proofs of it every day,—and it seems time to tell the readers of the Sentinel a little of what I have received. One thing I have been sure of for more than two years, and that is the Father's loving care for myself and little ones. When to mortal sense there was nothing to hope for, I simply knew that God would lead me aright and that I would be cared for. These words from the 91st Psalm I found to be a great comfort in this dark hour: "He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him." Words cannot express my gratitude to God for this Science which heals and makes us happy, and I realize that the only way in which I can truly show my gratitude to God, and to our Leader, is by striving daily to live this truth. One day my little boy, less than two years old, ran against a screen door which had been left unhooked, and in falling struck his forehead on a stone step. I stood still, declaring the truth and knowing that God's child could not be hurt. The little fellow was himself at once and did not even cry. God certainly is "a very present help."
