The truth of the statement, God is Love, I realized in its fuller meaning at a time when I needed help very much. Ever since childhood I had been a sufferer from terrible headaches, which I was supposed to have inherited. The attacks came oftener and were more severe as I grew older, and no remedy of any kind ever relieved me in any way. I simply tossed about on my bed of pain until completely worn out. Week after week there was the same suffering, and I finally grew discouraged. It was at this period, about six years ago, and while living in Lockport, N. Y., that I heard of Christian Science. I attended the church for a while, but my old trouble did not leave me, and shortly after we removed to Buffalo, N. Y., the old story repeated itself. I again came in contact with Christian Scientists, and through this I took up the study of the Bible and Science and Health, but in a more thorough manner. Although my healing was accomplished rather gradually, I am now free from suffering that many times made life seem unbearable.

I am grateful for having learned that God is All, and all-good. I thank God for Mrs. Eddy, His messenger to this generation, who perceived and declared the power of divine Truth and had enough love for her fellow-beings to stand bravely by her verified convictions, despite persecution and false reports.
