For about seven years I have read the Christian Science periodicals, and have received the great blessing of renewed hope, joy, and faith, from the articles and testimonies. I therefore send my own testimony, in the hope of helping some other who may be suffering as I did. Christian Science was brought to my notice by a dear sister who was very low from asthmatic trouble in cruel form. She left Chicago and came to Los Angeles for the climate, but did not get well, so she turned to Christian Science as last resort, and was healed. This was ten years ago, and she is now in perfect health. She was naturally anxious to have me receive the blessing also, as she knew me to be a great sufferer. She had seen me undergo two very serious surgical operations, and almost die, only to be left with the thought that I might have to undergo a still more serious one before I could be well; and even then there was nothing sure about my healing. The torture I endured during those operations no words can tell. My physicians were kind, and did the best they could for me, but I thank God that He sent this dear sister to me with this message of the truth that makes free. My sister made a trip from California to Chicago to tell me the joyful news, and said that if she could but interest one of us in Christian Science it would repay her for her trip. She took my case herself, and in three months I was healed of a malignant growth, stomach trouble, and severe headaches which lasted several days at a time. These troubles were not removed at once, but gradually left me. I can only prove my gratitude to God for my healing by voicing the truth to others and giving them the blessing also, for God is no respecter of persons; His truth is for all who will strive for it. My mother-in-law was also healed of very serious kidney and heart trouble, after the doctors had said she could not be healed. My husband was healed of nervous and stomach trouble.

I would say that my healing from the malignant growth has been permanent. It is about seven years since I was healed, and I I have never had a return of the old trouble. I am in perfect health, in mind and body, thanks to Christian Science. I thank God for all these blessings, but the greatest blessing of all is the spiritual uplift which I have received and the help that Christian Science gives me daily.
