That Christian Science and apostolic methods of healing...

That Christian Science and apostolic methods of healing are identical in Principle and operation is evident to any one who has the slightest understanding of the subject. Christian Science is based exclusively on the teachings of Jesus Christ, and is proving that it understands his teaching by healing the sick and reforming the sinner in fulfilment of the promise, "The works that I do shall he do also." Christian Science teaches that only as one attains the Mind of Christ is he able to cast out the evils of sin and disease. Mrs. Eddy says, "Follow your Leader, only so far as she follows Christ" (Message to The Mother Church, 1902).

Christian Science is not primarily a school of physical healing. In fact this healing is merely an incident testifying to the spiritual reformation that is taking place in the patient's life. Here is the line of demarcation between the healing of Christian Science and that accomplished by other methods. Christian Science improves the patient physically, more, it tends to heal him spiritually and morally, thus proving that it is the Christ method and a revival of apostolic healing. It is the panacea for all mortal ills, not only in the individual, teaching him that his health and prosperity depend upon his character, upon right thinking and acting, but it is self-evident that in the degree the individual is right, loving his neighbor as himself and practising the Golden Rule, all else will be made right. An influence that comes into an individual's life, healing him from sin and sickness, drugs and tobacco; making him a better father and citizen, and causing him to become a consistent follower of Jesus Christ, must be and is of divine origin.

Our critic is very positive that nature is really the cause of cures in Christian Science, and is of the opinion that nature can cure mental and moral imperfections. I should like to cite for his consideration the North American Indian, who is in touch with nature if any one is. Take, for instance, the Apache tribe, how much did nature do for its mental, moral, or spiritual advancement?
