Scarcely a day of my life passes that a song of thanksgiving does not well up in my heart for Christian Science, particularly when I look upon my two children and realize how protected they have been by this truth. Their health is, and always has been, perfect. Mrs. Eddy tells us that "the divine Mind, which forms the bud and blossom, will care for the human body, even as it clothes the lily; but let no mortal interfere with God's government by thrusting in the laws of erring, human concepts" (Science and Health, p. 62). This admonition has helped me to decide many perplexing questions as to what my babies should be given to eat or to put on; and I have found out truly that but "one thing is needful," and that is the keeping of my mentality "a holy habitation," which has resulted in health for the children, also in happiness and harmony in the home.

Recently my two-year-old boy developed a cough, which grew steadily worse, and after one night of almost constant coughing and choking on his part, the next morning I telephoned a Christian Science practitioner and asked for help. That night the child slept without once waking, and the following day the cough ceased. The condition had caused him much discomfort and me much anxiety, but it was immediately overcome by the truth. It is hardly surprising that Scientists find, even in these small experiences, added reason for "the faith that is in them," and added reason for their love and loyalty to their Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
