It is not from lack of desire to do good that I have...

It is not from lack of desire to do good that I have withheld this testimony, for gladly would I do anything which might add one ray of light to another's pathway. It is now seven years since the healing power of divine Love came into my life. After suffering for many years from headaches, also stomach trouble in a very severe form, which kept me from eating many things for fear of pain, I was in a very weakened condition physically. I then took a severe cold, which affected my lungs to such an extent that a prominent physician pronounced my case most serious and said I could not possibly live over two months. After trying every remedy which materia medica could offer, and having received absolutely no benefit therefrom, Christian Science was brought to my attention by a friend who had been healed therein. Not understanding anything about it, and fearing to give up my medicine, which I felt might be keeping me alive, I was almost certain Christian Science could do nothing for me, but after much persuasion I finally consented to give it a trial. How often I have been truly grateful that I did consent, for in a short time I was eating anything I wanted, and was growing stronger physically. Although I have been perfectly well since that time, I have been uplifted and benefited spiritually in such measure that it seems to be the greatest blessing I have received.

Why should I not feel deeply grateful to our faithful Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has so freely given this great truth to the world to-day that through her untiring and unselfish efforts even I have been brought into the light which will shine brighter and brighter "unto the perfect day."—Mrs. Nora C. Hargitt, Hamilton, O.
