AMONG THE CHURCHES
RIVERSIDE, CAL.
An artistic one-story frame bungalow, in old English style of architecture, will be erected soon by Second Church of Christ, Scientist, to be used for the present as a church. The building will occupy the southwest corner of Eleventh and Lemon Streets, and will cost between three and four thousand dollars.

ST. CLOUD, MINN.
The members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, St. Cloud. Minn., unanimously agreed to set aside last Sunday's collection [Feb. 16], as a love offering toward the new publishing house, and the money has been forwarded to Mr. Chase. We all rejoice at this forward step and are learning to love our dear Leader more as we see and understand her great foresight and care for all that pertains to the best interests of all her followers.—Correspondence.
DAYTON, O.
Sunday [March 1] marked an important event with the Christian Scientists of this city, Second Church of Christ, Scientist, holding the first services in its new church home in East First Street. The church was well filled at both the morning and evening services, a number of people from neighboring cities attending at the morning service, while at the evening service many members of the local congregation of First Church of Christ, Scientist, were present.—Dayton News.
ANDERSON, IND.
Robert P. Grimes, Deputy County Treasurer, has sold his residence, 122 West Eighth Street, to the Christian Science congregation, which will take possession about May 1 and establish its place of worship there. The announcement of the transaction was made at the Sunday morning [Feb. 23] services of the Christian Science congregation. As additional funds toward the purchase of the property nearly two thousand dollars cash was dropped into the collection baskets when they were passed around Sunday morning. The lease held by the Christian Science congregation at its present place of worship may be extended for a month or two, pending the proposed remodeling of the residence for church purposes for a couple of years more. The Christian Scientists are planning for the erection of a large building similar in design to the large churches of the Christian Scientist at Chicago and Boston.—Anderson Herald.
ST. PAUL, MINN.
To-day [March 1] marks an important epoch in the history of the Christian Science movement in this city, through the union of the two churches of that denomination. Hereafter there will be but one service held, that under the auspices of First Church at their building, Holly Avenue and St. Albans Street. Steps will be taken at once to provide larger quarters if it is seen that the building is inadequate to accommodate the united congregations, and a new church edifice will be planned in keeping with the churches of this denomination in other cities. There is great rejoicing among the members of this faith over this step, and it is expected there will be a great impetus in the work.
The harmony existing among the Christian Scientists augurs well for the future prosperity of the Cause in St. Paul. The paramount idea in the Christian Science work is the healing of the sick and reforming of the sinner, and the Church should be an exemplification of this teaching. The author of Science and Health enjoins upon her followers strict adherence to right and justice in their dealings with all mankind, in order to establish "on earth peace, good will to men."

SAGINAW, MICH.
Saginaw's First Church of Christ, Scientist, will hold its first and opening services in the beautiful new house of worship at the corner of South Warren Avenue and Hayden Street, appropriately enough on the first day of the month, Sunday, March 1, at the regular hour, 10.45 a.m., and the evening service will also be held at the accustomed hour, 7.45 p.m. In strict conformity with the custom of the church there will be no departure from the usual form of service, which consists of alternate readings from the Bible and from Science and Health by two Readers, and congregational singing from the hymnal with the assistance of a soloist. And in connection it is desirable to state that this body holds its meeting-places open to all who come, and at all times and in all places extends a cordial welcome to all. With the exception of some finishing details for the exterior, the new church, construction of which was begun last fall, is now completed and adds another to Saginaw's splendid equipment in places for religious worship, and one that is unusually beautiful. In its conception and execution there have been singular unity of thought and complete harmony upon the part of the congregation, and the result emphasizes this admirable condition in the production of a church building which in its simplicity and modesty is the ideal of the beautiful. In location the church is fortunate, and in return the church has given to its neighborhood an architectural ornament.

BINGHAMTON, N. Y.
The congregation of Christian Scientists of this city are soon to enjoy comfort in their new church home on Exchange Street adjoining the Universalist church. As previously stated, the congregation purchased this property, consisting of a house and lot, which will be used for a few years until the society is financially able to build a new church on the same plot. The interior of the lower floor of the house has been deprived of all partitions, a neat little platform has been built at the rear of the large room, which will be the auditorium, and a very cozy chapel with a seating capacity of two hundred and fifty will soon be ready.—The Evening Herald.
