THE LECTURES

Frank H. Leonard of Brooklyn, N. Y., addressed an appreciative audience at the Keylor Grand Theater last night [May 8] on "The Demonstrable Religion." In introducing the speaker, Attorney E. F. Barker said in part,—

One of the new thoughts of this age is that of Christian Science. I do not understand Christian Science. I have given it no study, but a large and growing class of intelligent men and women of our country have studied this subject and made its teachings a part of their lives. They pronounce it good, and their lives bear witness of its virtue. This ought to warrant a careful consideration, and we are here on this occasion to learn something of this subject.—Daily Union.
