I feel it to be high time that I told others of the blessings...
I feel it to be high time that I told others of the blessings I have received through Christian Science. Seven years ago I was healed instantaneously of abscess of the breast through Christian Science, after several operations had been performed and I had endured ten weeks of intense suffering. This was the first healing, but only a small beginning of our blessings. I have been wonderfully helped at the birth of my two children, after the doctor's verdict that I could never have a healthy child. My little girls are both fine, strong children, have had but few troubles and these have been quickly met with the truth.—our ever-present remedy.
I would like to speak of a severe attack when I and my three-months-old baby were away from home visiting relatives. It was a dreaded disease and we were quarantined, but were treated absently in Christian Science. The newspapers misrepresented the case, but divine Love proved, as it always does, that "one on God's side is a majority;" and this was proved with glorious results,—not a scar nor a blemish. Then there were at least a hundred others exposed, but not one person took the disease, proving absolutely that divine Love is the only power.
It takes the "new tongue" to express our gratitude for our dear Leader, Mrs, Eddy, who has shown us how to live so that error misses its mark. I can only hope to prove my love for this dear woman by deeds more than by words.—Ida M. Sperling, Boise, Idaho.
