I have received many benefits through Christian Science, the most remarkable being the overcoming of abdominal trouble, from which I had suffered for years. Four different doctors had declared that an operation was my only hope, but no two were agreed in their diagnosis except on that point. Inasmuch as the doctors disagree, I decided to send for a Christian Science practitioner, and sweeter than any music I have ever heard were her words of reassurance and hope. "Those doctors cannot make laws for you," she said, "you are under but one law—the law of God." A few more declarations similar to the above changed my thought, and my temperature was soon normal, although it had been very high. The 91st Psalm seemed to give me a sense of security from every foe.
Before this time I had not asked God for anything. The God I had been taught to believe in seemed too far away for me to tell my trouble to Him. and for several years I had been glad to get away from the distress I had felt as a child in trying to think about Him. I am grateful to Christian Science for the understanding it has given me that God is Love.—Eva O. German, Kansas City, Mo.
